We are the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 4 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
Today, Scouting is a global, educational youth movement, with 28,000,000 boys and girls in 216 countries around the world joining in the fun of scouting every week. Through the adventure of Scouting, young people get to take risks in a safe environment and have their first taste of responsibility. We give young people experiences they will never forget: Whether it’s a Beaver Scout waking up the morning after their first sleepover, or a Scout Network member competing in an international expedition – that’s adventure!
Holme Valley District aims to offer challenge and adventure to all its members. We believe in helping our young people fulfil their potential to develop as active members of the community, to be self-reliant, caring, responsible, and committed: They do this by working in teams, learning by doing, and thinking for themselves.
We are working to make Scouting available to all and we are passionate about what we do. All this is made possible by the efforts of our dedicated, hardworking team of adult volunteers, who ensure that the programme delivered is fun, exciting, and safe.
